It provides reliable recording with four surveillance-grade hard drives and multiple RAID level options. This high-performance recorder offers a gigabit switch for connecting network devices and a 2.5 gigabit uplink, qualified for up to 16 video sources with a total recording rate of 256 Mbit/s. The recorder can be used in single-site or multi-site systems and for expanding storage and network capacity in existing systems. It is compatible with AXIS Camera Station Edge and Pro video management software; AXIS Companion and third-party cameras are not supported. AXIS S3016 can be installed in server racks with a post-to-post distance between 376 mm (14.8 in) and 499 mm (19.6 in). For deeper racks, AXIS TS3901 Rail Extensions can be used when the post-to-post distance is between 499 mm (19.6 in) and 689 mm (27.1 in).
